Sin lugar a dudas la aparición de la red mundial de integración electrónica, la Internet, coadyuvó en la definición del rumbo de los nuevos negocios y creó un amplio espectro de oportunidades para las organizaciones que en ella vislumbraron un potencial incalculable de opciones para elevar la competitividad de los negocios en el orden de los mercados locales e internacionales. Pero un análisis pormenorizado de la realidad histórica que rodeó el ámbito latinoamericano la consolidación de las nuevas eras de la información y del conocimiento, impulsada sin lugar a dudas por Internet, propicia el espacio para evaluar aspectos como su impacto en los niveles Estatal y Privado y, por supuesto, las dimensiones que han adquirido los canales a través de los cuales se ha irrigado este fenómeno a toda las esferas de la producción, distribución y consumo de bienes, porque la comprensión de la interrelación de los actores económicos es el punto de partida desde donde se puede prospectar una política económica coherente con el orden mundial de los negocios

Cities as development hubs in Italy an analytical approach

Italy, the country where the modern cities were born, suffer from the early '90 of past century for a lack of vision and political address in terms of adoption of its urban agenda. The public debate about cities is focused only on administrative and insti aspects; not enough attention is dedicated to the problems of the Italian cities as development hubs. As a result, the law of 2014 that introduced the formal regulation of new metropolitan authorities lies unapplied. Bisphenol A determination in baby bottles by chemiluminescent enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, lateral flow immunoassay and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry

Two immunoassays, a Lateral Flow ImmunoAssay (LFIA) based on colloidal gold nanoparticle labels and an indirect competitive chemiluminescence enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (CL-ELISA), were developed and a high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method was optimized to assess the possible release of bisphenol A (BPA, 4,4¿-isopropylidenediphenol) from different plastic baby bottles treated with simulating solutions. Coating conjugate concentration, anti-BPA antibody dilution, incubation time of the primary and secondary antibodies, and tolerance to different organic solvents were optimized to obtain the best performance of the ELISA with chemiluminescent end-point detection. The influence of different buffers on LFIA performance was also evaluated. Both methods showed good repeatability (mean CV value around 13%) and sensitivity. Reproducibility tests for CL-ELISA gave a mean CV value of about 25%. The IC50 and Limit of Detection (LOD) values of CL-ELISA were 0.2 and 0.02 ng mL¿1, respectively. The LOD of LFIA was 0.1 ¿g mL¿1. A LC-MS/MS method was also optimized. The separation was performed in a C18 column with a triple-quadrupole mass spectrometer with electrospray ionisation interface. The method showed a good linearity in the range 2 to 500 ng mL¿1, with a regression coefficient of 0.998. In the simulating solutions the detection and quantification limits, calculated by the signal to noise level of 3 (S/N = 3), were 5.8 ng mL¿1 and 17.4 ng mL¿1, respectively. This limit of quantification was about 3 and 35 times lower than the permitted limits set by the official method CEN/TS 13130-13 (0.05 ¿g mL¿1) and by the Directive 2004/19/EC (0.6 ¿g mL¿1), respectively. The methods were applied to determine BPA release from baby bottles, performing repeated procedures according to EU and national regulations. The results demonstrated that no BPA migration from the tested plastic materials occurred with only one exception. In vitro maturation of Brycon henni eggs (Pisces: Characidae) with two hormonal preparations

La sabaleta (Brycon henni) es una especie de interés comercial en Colombia. Una de las principales barreras para los procesos de conservación de esta especie es la asincronía temporal entre los ciclos reproductivos de las hembras y los machos, que podría ser solucionado mediante el uso de procesos biotecnológicos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar la maduración in vitro de ovas de sabaleta (Brycon henni) mediante el uso de dos preparaciones hormonales. Un total de 1200 ovas fueron sometidas a maduración in vitro en presencia de extracto de hipófisis de carpa (EPC), hormona liberadora de gonadotropinas de salmón (sGnRHa) y un control sin estimulación hormonal. Las ovas se incubaron durante 2 horas a 25 °C en agitación orbital constante y 80% de O2. Se evaluó la maduración in vitro de las ovas mediante la clasificación de la posición del núcleo en cuatro categorías: migratorio, central, atrésico y periférico. Se encontraron resultados superiores de avance de la maduración por la presencia de núcleo migratorio (p<0.05) para EPC (46.0 ± 8.4%) y sGnRHa (40.0 ± 13.3%), en comparación con el control (24.0 ± 9.6%). Se concluye que el uso de las preparaciones hormonales EPC y sGnRHa durante la maduración in vitro promueve el avance de la maduración de las ovas de sabaleta (Brycon henni).The ‘sabaleta’ (Brycon henni) is a species of commercial interest in Colombia. One of the main barriers to the conservation processes of this species is the temporal asynchrony between the reproductive cycles of females and males, which could be solved using biotechnological processes. The aim of this investigation was to evaluate the in vitro maturation of ‘sabaleta’eggs (Brycon henni) using two hormonal preparations. A total of 1200 eggs were subjected to in vitro maturation in the presence of carp pituitary extract (EPC), salmon gonadotropin-releasing hormone (sGnRHa) and a control without hormonal stimulation. The eggs were incubated for 2 hours at 25 °C in constant orbital shaking and 80% O2. The in vitro maturation of the eggs was evaluated by classifying the position of the nucleus in four categories: migratory, central, atretic and peripheral. Higher maturation advancement were obtained due to the presence of migratory nucleus (p<0.05) for EPC (46.0 ± 8.4%) and sGnRHa (40.0 ± 13.3%), compared to the control (24.0 ± 9.6%). It is concluded that the use of EPC and sGnRHa hormonal preparations during in vitro maturation promotes the advancement of maturation of ‘sabaleta’ eggs (Brycon henni)

Análisis socio jurídico de los efectos psicológicos generados por los accidentes de trabajo y las enfermedades laborales (4-18)

El propósito del estudio es evidenciar y proponer desde otro punto de vista el enfoque multidisciplinario de la Seguridad y la Salud en el Trabajo que se desarrolla tradicionalmente en las empresas de nuestro país, buscamos apoyar las diversas estrategias que a diario desarrollan e implementan los Profesionales de la Salud Ocupacional, empresarios, Administradoras de Riesgos Laborales y el estado a través del Ministerio de Trabajo para mejorar la calidad de vida de los trabajadores a través de la promoción y la prevención en Riesgos Laborales direccionada por sus Sistemas de Gestión de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, darle al trabajador un punto de vista donde se evidencie o visualice los efectos de llegar a sufrir un evento laboral, que los lleve a cambiar su cultura de prevención, que eviten y dejen a un lado las prácticas inseguras y se vuelvan facilitadores de la prevención, que identifiquen que esto va más allá de recibir una prestación económica o unas prestaciones asistenciales, que tomen conciencia que un trabajador que sufre un accidentes de trabajo o que con el tiempo ve desmejorada su salud por una enfermedad laboral, sufre consecuencias que vencen barreras contractuales y legales, que estos eventos se trasladan a otras esferas que terminaran afectando gravemente su entorno familiar y social
